6 Days front of book cover

If it is to be it is up to me

I was leading a great life when an unexpected and horrific tragedy changed everything. Follow me on my journey from a healthy, walking man to navigating through life with paraplegia.

Most people have no idea what it's like to be paralyzed or what a person who is paralyzed goes through on a day-to-day basis. In 6 Days, I share how I became injured, how I recovered, and how I learned to live with my paralysis. With anecdotes taken from my personal life, I will tell you what I go through every day and how my injury affects the people around me.

In addition to the book and supplements on this site, you can also visit my other website: www.spinalman.com where I have included details from my journey, including videos.

Courageous! A good read for those who are curious about what many people with disabilities go through just to show up.

Marc Richards pulls back the curtain to reveal what goes on backstage in order for him, and many of us with disabilities, to show up on the stage of life each day. ---  Mitchell Tepper, PHD, MPH

Just read your book Marc and I congratulate you on your concise presentation of the facts! Well done my friend! What I liked most about your book was the fact that you did not belabor the fact that this was a disaster for you and your family. It was obvious — Margaret

I was absolutely fascinated with your book. It is so well written. You are an inspiration to all who have faced seemingly unendurable occurrences in their life. The love of your family and friends and the admiration they have shown, has been a testament to your perseverance and positive thinking. I congratulate you on a job well done and wish you the very best, always and ever. — Barbara

Read it in one sitting. Don't even know what to say.  I'm glad you wrote it.  I hope it was cathartic for you.  It made me very sad. I simply wouldn't have the strength to put up with the pain and daily challenges the way you have.  I will pass it along to the rest of the family. — Melissa
